Dhaka, May 23 (UNB)– Bangladesh put in tough Group A of the eight-team AFC U-16 Women’s Championship’2019 alongwith hosts Thailand, Japan and Australia scheduled to be held in Thailand from September 15–28 this year.

Defending champions DPR Korea have been placed in Group B with Korea Republic, China PR and Vietnam.

The grouping of the AFC Women’s Junior meet was held on Thursday (May 23) at Chonburi's Oakwood Hotel in Thailand.

The champions and runners-up teams of the eight-team fray will represent Asia in the upcoming FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup India’ 2020 in September.
