DNCC drive: Aedes larvae found at 99 houses, establishemnts
The Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) on Sunday found Aedes mosquito larvae at 99 houses and establishments on the second day of its combing operation launched to protect the city dwellers from dengue.
DNCC mobile courts realised fines amounting to Tk 2.97 lakh in the process and filed 13 cases after visiting 13,299 houses and establishments in this regard.
Besides, stagnant water -- the breeding ground of Aedes mosquitoes -- was found at 7,794 houses and establishments during the drive.
Anti-mosquito drive: DNCC starts 2nd spell of combing operation
The Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) authorities on Saturday started the second spell of their mosquito prevention drive in different areas.
DNCC to launch anti-mosquito special drive Saturday: DNCC mayor
A special cleanliness drive will be conducted in all the wards under Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) from Saturday to prevent dengue outbreak , said DNCC Mayor Atiqul Islam.
Atiqul Islam came up with the information through a video conference on Friday.
The 10-day drive will be conducted from 10 am to 1 pm daily, except Friday, and each wards will be divided into ten sectors.

Decathlon Bangladesh donates non-surgical masks to DNCC
‘Decathlon Bangladesh’, a non-surgical fabric-mask manufacturing and exporting company, donated 20,000 non-surgical fabric-masks to Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC).
Deepak D’Souza, country manager of ‘Decathlon Bangladesh’ handed over the masks to DNCC mayor Md Atiqul Islam on Monday, said a press release.
The masks are washable and reusable at least 21 times, said D’Souza.
