The Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) authorities on Saturday started the second spell of their mosquito prevention drive in different areas.
DNCC Mayor Atiqul Islam held an online conference with the participation of concerned officials and directed them to expedite the drive on the previous night.

On the first day of the 10-day spell, the officials began the drive simultaneously in all 54 wards and found mosquito larvae at 91 establishments.
During the drive, 12 cases were filed and the responsible house owners were slapped with Tk 1,55,000 in fine.
The first spell of the drive was conducted from June 6 to 15.
