Dhaka, Oct 19 (UNB) – US Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs Carl Risch will discuss on variety of consular issues during his visit to Bangladesh and India that began on Friday.
“Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs Carl Risch will travel on October 19-26 to Bangladesh and India to participate in a series of meetings with US diplomats and foreign government authorities,” said a media note on Friday.
The United States is committed to long-term engagement with Bangladesh and India on a variety of consular issues, said the office of the Spokesperson, UIS Department of State.
While on this trip, Assistant Secretary Risch will engage in bilateral discussions with Indian counterparts on issues relevant to international parental child abduction and US visas.
