Journalists will be allowed to go to polling centre’s guestroom upon permission from the returning officer, but will not be allowed to live telecast from inside the both, according to the guideline issued by the university on Friday.
The electors will be allowed to cast vote after showing their identity card before 2:00 pm, it added.
Archways and metal detectors will be set up at every voting centre scheduled for March 11.
The decision was made at a meeting of the hall provosts chaired by university Vice-chancellor Professor Akhtaruzzaman, the release added.
Meanwhile, general people have been urged to use alternative routes till 10:00 pm, as well as all types of motor vehicles, have been restricted plying on the campus on the voting day.
The instructions will not be applicable for the vehicles (with sticker) of the concerned people related to the election process, it said.
All classes and examinations of the university will remain closed on the election day.
