He said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is working to bring back the killers to implement court verdicts.
The Foreign Minister sought cooperation from all in this regard.
He was addressing a function at the law faculty of Dhaka University marking the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation.
Secret Documents of Intelligence Branch on Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Vol-1 and 2 were distributed among students at the function.
The government is working to bring back Noor Chowdhury, one of Bangabandhu’s convicted killers, from Canada.
Earlier in Sylhet, the Foreign Minister said he will discuss the issue of bringing back Bangabandhu’s killer from the USA during his next visit there.
Rashed Chowdhury, one of the killers of Bangabandhu, is now living in the USA.
Minister Momen said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and all Bangladesh missions abroad will be celebrating the birth centenary by organizing workshops, seminars and meetings.
“We have already directed all our missions abroad in this regard,” he said.
The Foreign Minister said they will celebrate the birth centenary by involving common people. “We can learn about the country and its history if we know Bangabandhu."
He said Bangladesh wants to let the world know about the amazing progress it made over the last 10 years.
“We will let the world know about our achievements by holding various programmes abroad in next two years marking the golden jubilee of the independence of Bangladesh,” he said.
