The rapists violated the woman around 7pm on Friday after tying up her husband in a room of the hostel, said the victim’s husband.
On information, police rescued the couple from the hostel around 10:30pm.
The victim’s husband filed a case with Shah Poran Police Station early Saturday against six named accused, including Saifur Rahman, and three unnamed accused.
According to locals, the victim along with her husband went to visit MC College in the afternoon.
When the girl’s husband went outside the college campus leaving her behind, several youths, numbering 8-9, appeared there and tried to pick her up forcibly.
As her husband resisted the youths, they started beating her up. At one stage, they dragged the couple into the college hostel.
Later, they tied up the man and raped his wife in turns. The accused also took away their private car, too.
On information, police rescued the girl and sent her to one stop crisis centre (OCC), said Abdul Kaiyum, officer-in-charge of the police station.
Police are conducting drives to arrest the accused, said the OC.
Police said they seized foreign and local arms from the room of Saifur Rahman around 2am.
However, no was arrested in this connection.
The five other accused are Mahbubar Rahman Roni, Mahfuzar Rahman Masum, Arjun and two outsiders - Rabiul and Tarek.
Jamal Uddin, hostel superintendent of the college, said they have received a complaint that a young couple was picked up by several youths and later police rescued them.
