A teenage boy was electrocuted in the capital's North Badda area on Saturday morning.
The deceased was identified as Shakil, 19, son of late Abul Bashar of Balu Thoba village in Faridganj upazila of Chandpur district.
Deceased’s cousin Md. Mahbub Hossain said when Shakil, a employee of a steel meter box factory, was sleeping in the factory he came in contact with a live electric wire and fell unconscious.

Shakil was rushed to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital at 9.15 am where he was declared dead on arrival.
The body has been kept at the hospital morgue for an autopsy, said Bachchu Mia, inspector at the DMCH police outpost.
