Truck and Covered Van Owners-Workers Oikya Parishad that went on a 3-day strike on Tuesday to press home 15-point demand called off the programme following a fruitful meeting with the Home Minister on Wednesday.
President of Bangladesh Covered Van-Truck-Prime Mover Transport Owners Association Makbul Ahmed and President of Bangladesh Truck Driver Workers Federation Talukdar Mohammad Munir came up with the announcement after the meeting.

Home Minister Asaduzzaman sat with the workers leaders at the secretariat in the morning.
“We’ve sat with the minister and we’re happy. We’ve decided to withdraw the 72-hour strike,” said Munir.
