He made the call while speaking at a commemorative meeting on slain Awami League MP at the Jatiya Press Club marking his 15th death anniversary.
Ahsanullah, a popular politician from Gazipur and Awami League MP, was shot to death on May 7, 2004 while addressing a programme in Togi of Gazipur.
The minister said the nation will remember the contributions of Ahsanullah to the Liberation War with great respect. “We have to derive his wisdom and learning and utilise those.”
He alleged that the then government had described the murder as an outcome of the internal feud without any investigation, said a PID handout.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Md Zahid Ahsan Russel, also son of Ahsanullah Master, recalled the life and works of his father.
