Manikganj, Mar 12 (UNB)— Ferry Services on the key Paturia-Daulatdia route resumed on Tuesday morning after a four-hour snap.
“The services were suspended from 4:15am due to poor visibility caused by dense fog,” said Mohiuddin Russel, manager of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) Aricha terminal office.
Seven ferries were stuck in the middle of Padma River and nine ferries with a good number of vehicles and passengers lay anchored at Paturia and Daulatdia terminals.
Ferry services resumed around 8am after visibility improved, the BIWTC officer said.
