IU Environmental Science and Geography department organised the seminar at the second Science Faculty building in the campus.
IU Vice-chancellor Professor M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari addressed the seminar as the chief guest while Dr M Mahmudul-Hoque, additional secretary of Secondary Higher Education division of the Ministry of Education, delivered the key-note speech with organizing department’s chairman Professor SM Mustafa Kamal in the chair.
Among others, IU Pro-VC Professor M Shahinoor Rahman and Treasurer Professor M Selim Toha spoke as the special guests.
While addressing the seminar, the speakers shed lights on arsenic in coconut water and discuss the ways to recover from the problem.
Environmental Science and Geography departmental lecturer Iffat Ara conducted the seminar while IU Proctor Professor M Mahbubar Rahman along with teachers and students from different departments took part in the seminar.
