Dhaka, June 28 (UNB)— Arif Rahman Shibly, the founder of Kids Media Institute, wants to become the mouthpiece for the underprivileged Bangladeshi children at the United Nations.
In a statement, he noted how most children in this country are deprived of fundamental rights.
“I want to become the mouthpiece for these ill-fated children and draw the attention of the UN,” he said, seeking the help of the Prime Minister, UNICEF, and Save the Children.
Arif, a member of ARTICLE 19 and Reporters Without Borders, trains children to become professional journalists. After finishing training, the children are allowed to join a team of journalists under ‘Kids Media’.
He has worked for several private television channels in the past and is currently serving as the CEO of Kids Media Institute.
