Four of the six Bangladeshis who were killed in a recent road accident in South Africa were buried at their family graveyards in Feni on Friday.
Ismail Hossain, Razu Ahmed, Md Mustafa and Abul Hossain were buried at their respective homes after their namaz-e-janaza.
Char Mojilishpur Union Parishad (UP) Chairman MA Hossain said that when Abul Hossain's body was brought to his village home on Thursday night, the relatives burst into tears. Later, he was buried in the family graveyard around 10 am on Friday, Chairman MA Hossain added.
However, Abul Hossain's son Nadim Hossain was buried in South Africa as he was a South African citizen.
Nizam Uddin, brother of the victim Ismail Hossain said that the bodies of four people arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on an Emirates Airlines flight at 5:40 pm on Thursday.
Later, victims' bodies were handed over to their families after the due procedure, Nizam added.
The bodies of these four expatriate Bangladeshis arrived in the country seven days after the accident.
Two other Bangladeshis were critically injured in the accident that occurred on February 24.
Among them, Anisul Haque Milon of Daganbhuyian upazila of Feni succumbed to his injuries on Monday. He had been receiving treatment at George Hospital in South Africa.
The process is underway to bring his body back to the country.
