The High Court did not hold a hearing on Thursday on the petition seeking an order to not to fire on students.
The hearing was not held as a junior judge of the division bench was on leave like the previous day, resulting in the bench not convening.
Writ petitioner Aynuunnahar Siddika Lipi said, “The rule petition has not been heard today either. A single bench was set up due to one judge being ill. We hope that the hearing on the writ petition will be held again next Sunday.”
The petition, filed on July 29, seeks a court order to prevent police from firing on students of the quota movement.
