A nine-month pregnant woman died of dengue while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Faridpur on Thursday.
The deceased was Ruma Biswas, 25, hailed from Baliakandi upazila of Rajbari district.
Ruman died two days after the death of Senior Assistant Secretary to Commerce Ministry SM Nazia Sultan, who was eight months pregnant, from the mosquito-borne disease.

District Civil Surgeon Dr Siddikur Rahman confirmed the death of Ruma Biswas saying that she was undergoing treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College Hospital (BSMCH) in the district.
He said 59 more people infected with dengue were admitted to several hospitals in the district in 24 hours till Thursday morning.

A total of 225 dengue patients are now undergoing treatment in the district and of them 124 patients at the BSMCH.
This year, 871 people have so far been infected with dengue in the district and 644 recovered, the civil surgeon added.
