Protesters have once again halted the Chandna Express commuter train traveling to Dhaka at Faridpur Railway Station, demanding a stoppage at their desired location.
According to the demonstrators, the train was stranded for approximately 50 minutes at Faridpur Railway Station.

Despite reassurances from the Railway Minister and railway authorities, the commuter train was brought to a standstill at Rajbari facing Dhaka on Wednesday around 8:00 pm. Protesters staged a demonstration by sitting on the railway tracks to express their discontent over the train's failure to stop at Faridpur Station.
Upon receiving news of the incident, police reached the scene, and Hasanuzzaman, an officer from the Faridpur Kotwali Police Station, engaged in dialogue with the protesters.
Considering the inconvenience faced by passengers, who were stranded for nearly 50 minutes, the police and railway officials intervened, allowing the train to proceed towards Rajbari to relieve the obstruction.

Protester Jayanta Bhattacharya stated that many passengers from Faridpur would also travel on this train from Rajbari to Dhaka, which would increase revenue for the railway department through ticket sales.
The station master of Faridpur Railway Station, Taqdeer Hossain, stated that the railway authorities have been informed about the issue of train blockades. He assured that the demands of Faridpur residents would be addressed promptly.
Operation of the Chandna commuter train between Rajbari and Dhaka commenced on May 5. However, due to the absence of any scheduled stops at Faridpur Railway Station, significant discontent has arisen among railway passengers in Faridpur.
