Two white collar workers riding their motorbikes home after work sustained injuries, as miscreants exploded two crude bombs in the capital's always busy Farmgate area on Saturday evening.
The injured were identified as Md Emdadul Haque Khan, 56, a joint director of Bangladesh Bank, and Md. Nazmus Shahadat Pratik (38), engineer of Samid Group.
The incident took place in front of Farmview Supermarket around 7:15 pm on Saturday.
Sarwar Alam Khan, inspector (investigation) of Tejgaon Police Station, said he heard about the explosion.
Locals said that everyone was busy on the road at that time. Suddenly, two crude bombs were detonated within five seconds, leaving two motorcyclists injured.
One of them was hit in the head and the other in the stomach, they said.
