Bangladesh is ready to serve global industry as the country is advancing fast in the technology sector, said State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak.
Bangladesh is also working towards welcoming startups, innovators and new potential enterprises, he said at the conference titled 'Bangladesh-Korea Drone Roadshow-2022' organised by the South Korean Embassy in Dhaka.
By organising such a road show, a new opportunity can be created for the entire ICT sector including startups, innovators, and business organisations in Bangladesh, he added.

Everyday problems can be solved by using drone technology in various fields, Palak said, adding that drone technology can also be used to prevent water pollution.
“Bangladesh is advancing very fast in the technology sector. We are keen to participate in such collaboration and exchange programmes in the future.”
He also hoped for an opportunity for Bangladesh-Korea to work together in technology development by taking various initiatives through G2G, G2B and B2B matchmaking in the future.
Bangladesh is working tirelessly to make Smart Bangladesh by 2041, he said, thanking South Korea as a friendly country for Bangladesh to achieve this goal.
As chief guest at the event, South Korean Ambassador to Bangladesh Lee Jang-keun said Bangladesh has ample opportunity to invest in drone technology. South Korea and Bangladesh can work together to develop this technology through partnership.

The roadshow aims to draw the attention of the Bangladesh government and business sector to the importance and diverse use of drone technology and highlight the need for the technology to everyone.
Highlights of the roadshow included a series of product-specific presentations by Korean companies, along with presentations from government authorities in Bangladesh. The event explained how they are leading in this field and some of the solutions that Korea can offer. In the conference, six companies from Korea exhibited their products and services related to drones and GIS.
