Coming from behind twice, Bangladesh Premier League Football champions Bashundhara Kings forced hosts Mohun Bagan Super Giants of Kolkata to play a 2-2 draw in their away match of the AFC Cup Football on Tuesday night.
The Group D match between two football giants of Dhaka and Kolkata locked in 1-1 draw in the first half at the Kalinga Stadium in the Indian city of Bhubaneswar in Odisha
In the 3rd Group match on Tuesday, Kolkata Mohun Bagan Club dropped first points in the ongoing AFC Cup against the Kings.
This was the second draw between two teams as their first AFC Cup match ended in 1-1 draw in Male in 2021.

But in their last meeting in Kolkata last year, Kolkata Mohun Bagan Club outplayed the Bangladesh champions Bashundhara Kings by 4-0 goals.
Despite the draw, Kolkata Mohun Bagan Club topped the Group D list with an unbeaten record securing seven points from three matches with two wins and a draw.
Bashundhara Kings followed the leaders collecting four points from three matches with one win, one draw and one defeat andvwill play Mohun Bagan Club again in their home match on November 7 at the Bashundhara Kings Arena in Dhaka.

The Tuesday's result was a great relief for the King as they were forced to play the vital match facing a lot of problems to get Indian visa in time and air ticket for the team on revised schedule . They even failed to make any practices for reaching the venue just day before the match.
In a keenly contested Group D match, Dimitri Petratos put Mohun Bagan Club ahead in the 29th minute by a good shot from six-yard box, off a combined attack by Cummings and Boumous (1-0).
But their leading joy was very short-lived as Bashundhara Kings Brazilian forward Dorielton Gomes leveled the margin just four minutes later, capitalizing on a Robson Robinho pass (1-1).
After the breather, defender Asish Rai again put the Indian giants Mohun Bagan ahead in the 54th minute by a powerful shot, off a Dimitri Petratos pass from left wing (2-1).
Basundhara Kings Brazilian captain cum winger Robson Robinho equalized the margin again in the 70th minute from a penalty amid huge frustration from the Mariners fans (2-2).

The Kings were awarded a spot kick when Mohun Bagan defender Asish Rai fouled on rushing Robinho in the danger zone and Robson Robinho made no mistake to convert a penalty that kissed the net touching the opponent custodian.
Bashundhara Kings, which was placed in Group D of the AFC Cup with Odisha FC and Mohun Bagan Club of India, and Maziya SRC of the Maldive, played two matches earlier.
They beat Odisha FC by 3-2 goals in a home match in Dhaka and lost to Maziya in their away match by 1-3 goals in Male.
