Savar, Apr 18 (UNB)- Rasel Sarkar, who lost his leg after a Greenline bus ran over him, is now capable of walking after getting a prosthetic limb through a medical surgery at Center For The Rehabilitation Of The Paralyzed (CRP) on Thursday morning.
The prosthetic limb was financed by CRP while Dr. Md. Shafiq Ahmed of the specialized medical institution completed the surgery free of cost.
Rasel can hope to get something close to his previous life back now that he has two legs to keep him mobile. He was understandably very thankful for the surgery. Getting artificial leg, he said that it reminds him of the old days. It is a new lease of life for him for sure.
Earlier, he was admitted to Savar CRP on April 11. A medical team decided to go through with the surgery following several tests over past 7 days.
