Two Taiwan compatriots infected with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Wuhan, the epicenter of the virus outbreak, were discharged from hospital after recovery Monday, said the cross-Strait affairs office of Hubei Province, where Wuhan is located.
One of the patients was in Wuhan on a family visit from Kunshan in east China's Jiangsu Province when he and two other family members were confirmed to have been infected with COVID-19 on Feb. 1.
The second patient is a Taiwan businessman whose computerized tomography (CT) scan results revealed a lung infection on Jan. 29 after having fever symptoms for seven days.
