At least 18 houses were gutted and five people including three children suffered burn injuries in a fire at Anwara upazila in Chattogram early Monday.
The injured are Helal, 35, Jamal,45, Niha,13, Hasan,10 and Tania,5.

The fire that broke out around 3 pm was brought under control with the help of fire service and locals, said UP member MD. Ishaq.
The fire might have originated from an electric short circuit, said Maung Suinyu Marma, in-charge of Anwara Fire Station.

All of the injured were admitted to the burn unit of Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
