Two people died when a truck hit a motorcycle in Manikganj's Sadar upazila on Tuesday evening.
One of the deceased was identified as Jewel Rana, 32, a businessman from the district. The identity of another person could not be known yet.
The accident occurred at the Dhulandi area of Gior upazila on the Dhaka-Aricha highway around 6:30 pm, said Md Ibrahim Hossain, officer-in-charge (OC) of Barangail Highway Police Station.
The truck has been seized. Legal action is underway in this regard, he added.
