The convicted men are- Md Nazmul, son of Azim Uddin, resident of Rathura village of Nagorpur upazila and Abbas Ali, 33, son of Niyat Ali, resident of Aushnara village in Modhupur upazila.
However, the two were tried in absentia.
Khaleda Yasmin, judge of Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal in Tangail, delivered the verdict this in absence of the convicts, said AKM Nasimul Akhter Nasim, special public prosecutor of the court.
According to the statement of a case, Nazmul raped a woman at her house in Bhuapur upazila on December 6, 2008 assuring her of marriage.
The woman became pregnant and gave birth to a baby girl but Nazmul did not marry her.
The woman later filed a case with the tribunal in Tangail on June 1, 2009.
According to the statement of another case, Abbas raped the victim on June 12, 2008 and then she gave birth to a baby boy.
Later, the victim filed a case on February 17, 2009.
The judge also mentioned in the judgments that the two children who were born as a result of rape would be known as the children of the convicts.
The court directed the district magistrate of Tangail to take necessary steps in this regard.
