The deceased were identified as Al Numan Aditta, Aranoor Azad Chowdhury and Risul Badhon. They were students at the University of Manitoba.
They died on the spot after a head-on collision on a highway Manitoba, reports CBC news.

A car travelling north on Highway 7 collided with a southbound car about 10 kilometres south of Arborg, Man., a town about 115 kilometres north of Winnipeg, just before 6:30am.
The driver of the northbound car, a 53-year-old woman, sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries and was sent to a hospital in Winnipeg.

Aditta, Azad and Badhon — were pronounced dead at the scene.
Two of the students were 23 years old, but police did not have an age for the third.

Azad was a positive third-year student studying statistics, Badhon was a hard-working third-year studying accounting and supply chain at the Asper School of Business, and Aditta was "a sweetheart" studying agriculture, their friend Fardeen Zareef was quoted as saying by CBC.
