Three people, including the driver and helper of a truck, were killed Saturday in two separate road accidents at Lohagara and Patiya upazila in Chattogram.
The first fatality occurred when an unidentified man was killed in a serious collision between an autorickshaw and a pickup van at Srimai Bazar area in Patiya, said Rezaul Karim, officer-in-charge of Patia police station.
Around 5:30 pm a vegetable-laden mini truck lost control and collided with a roadside tree at Adhunagar area, leaving the driver and his helper dead, said Atikur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge of Lohagara police station.
The deceased truck driver was identified as Ahmed Hridoy, 36 from Laxmipur while his 22-year old assistant remained unidentified, said the OC.
All the three bodies were sent for autopsy after recovery, said police.
