Three people died in separate road accidents in Dinajpur on Tuesday.
A sub-inspector and a pillion rider died in a head-on collision between a passenger bus and a motorcycle in front of College Bazar in Birampur upazila of Dinajpur.

The incident happened around 8:30 pm on Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as SI Jahurul Islam (37), stationed at Jaldhaka of Nilphamari, and Monyem Hossain Sujon (38) of Phulbari upazila of Dinajpur, a medical representative by profession.

It is known that they were returning by motorcycle after appearing as witnesses in a case at a magistrate's court in Rajshahi. They were killed in a head-on collision with a passenger bus on the road in front of the Chandpur Petrol Pump near College Bazar in Birampur.
Subrata Kumar Sarkar, officer-in-charge of Birampur Police Station, said they first recovered the bodies, which were unidentified. Later, the identities of the two victims were confirmed. The bus was seized and taken into custody.
Earlier, in a separate incident, another person died after hitting his motorcycle at a parked truck at the Bhabani Nagar intersection of the district headquarters on the same road. Two others who were on the motorbike were injured.

The deceased was identified as Ahsan Habib, son of Adv Delwar Hossain. Two other injured men, Sanaullah Bashar and Monowar Hossain Mizan, were admitted to the hospital.
