A 55-year-old man died allegedly due to ‘wrong treatment’ in Sherpur's Sreebardi upazila on Saturday.
The deceased Maidan Ali was the son of Suruj Ali of Mamdamari village of the upazila.
The incident took place at the 'Unique Diagnostic Center' at the Charrasta intersection of Sreebardi town on Saturday.
Police rushed to the spot and detained two individuals, Shamim and Jewel, in connection with the incident.

Morsheda Begum, wife of the victim Maidan Ali, said that an abscess appeared on the left side of her husband's chest a week ago. He was brought to a local hospital two days ago.
From there, doctors referred him to Sherpur Sadar Hospital seeing his condition as alarming.
Today, Maidan Ali was brought to Unique Diagnostic Center for the test. At that time, Shahin Mia, a hospital office assistant of Sadar Hospital who serves part-time at the Diagnostic Center, pushed him for an injection for the operation. Soon after that, Maidan Ali started shivering and died a few minutes later, Morsheda Begum alleged.
Ruman Hasan Babu, the son of deceased Maidan Ali, demanded a fair investigation into the incident.
Dr Amio Jyoti Saifullah, resident medical officer (RMO) said, the patient was brought to the hospital two days ago. It was not possible to operate the abscess on the left side of the patient's chest. So, he was referred to another hospital.

Shahin Mia is an office assistant in this hospital. He has no permission to do surgery, added the RMO.
Qayum Khan Siddiqui, officer-in-charge of Sreebardi police station, said that the body was recovered from the spot.
A case will be filed in this regard.
