As his physical condition did not improve in five weeks, Bagerhat Health Department referred him BSMMU.
Earlier, Bagerhat Deputy Commissioner ANM Faizul Haque visited UNB’s district correspondent Bisnu Proshad Chakrabortty at his home on Thursday afternoon.
He inquired about Bisnu’s health and said that the administration would ensure better medical treatment for the journalist.

Bishnu developed various symptoms, including high fever, shortness of breath, headache and chest pain, after receiving his first dose of coronavirus vaccine on February 7 at Bagerhat Sadar Hospital.
He was first treated at Bagerhat Sadar Hospital by a medical board before being shifted to Khulna Medical College Hospital.
The expert medical board formed to treat him conducted various tests but failed to diagnose any specific disease.
World Health Organization (WHO) SIMO Dr Syed Ahsan Rizvi and KMCH Assistant Director Dr Pulok Debnath visited the journalist and inquired about his overall health condition recently.

Vaccination in Bangladesh
The countrywide Covid-19 vaccination drive kicked off on February 7.
Bangladesh signed an agreement with the Serum Institute of India Pvt Ltd, the world’s largest vaccine maker, for 30 million doses of Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine. Serum will send five million doses each month between January and June.
Five million doses arrived in January and India gifted another two million doses.
The government brought down the age to 40 for registration to get jabs. The doses are being provided for free.
