At least 10 people were injured in a clash between two groups at an arbitration meeting over cattle theft at Charsadipur union in Kumarkhali upazila of Kushtia district on Friday.
The injured were identified as Abdul Malek, 35, Kalu Driver, 50, Helal Uddin, 40, Sufi Mondal, 37, Masum, 26, Mansur, 29, and Mithun, 29 and many others.
On the other hand, 8-10 people including UP chairman of Charsadipur Union Parishad were confined by locals over the clash.

Confirming the incident, Charsadipur Union Parishad Chairman Md. Meser Ali said an arbitration meeting over cattle theft was going on in his council office. Suddenly, a clash broke out and some people were stabbed.
Meser Ali said he has been confined by the people in the council. He reported the situation to the police over phone.
Dipankar Das, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Kumarkhali police station, said he left for Charsadipur after receiving the information.
