The polls manifesto will be announced through a press conference at Lakeshore Hotel in the morning, according to the media cell of the ruling party candidate.
“There’ll be surprises in the election manifesto,” Atiqul said while speaking at a rally at the Gulshan Health Club Park on Saturday.
He also said he will turn DNCC into a modern, dynamic, healthy and humane city if he is elected in the election. “Safety of the citizens will be ensured and there’ll be ample grounds and parks for playing games and sports. I want our next generation to grow up with good health,” he added.
The AL mayoral runner also called upon his party leaders and activists not to create public sufferings and traffic jam while carrying out campaign for him. “Don’t do anything that hurts people” I want to work as a servant of people if elected,” he said.
The meeting was attended among others by Dhaka North City AL President Sheikh Bazlur Rahman and General Secretary SM Mannan Kochi.
Atiqul also conducted electioneering in other areas of the city, including Narda Bazar.
