Seven students involved in the anti-discrimination movement remain admitted at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) as of Saturday night, with injuries sustained during an attack by Awami League (AL) cadres on Friday night in Gazipur.
They are Kashem, 17, Yakub, 24, Shuvo Shahriar, 16, Gaurav Ghosh, 22, Abdur Rahman Emon, 20, Sabbir Khan Himel, 22, and Kazi Omar Hamza, 21.

Kashem’s condition is said to be critical, and he is currently receiving treatment in the ICU, confirmed Md. Faruk, the In-Charge of the DMCH Police Camp (Inspector).
Faruk added that they were among the 12 students brought to the hospital in the early hours of Saturday.

At least 14 individuals, all belonging to the mobs out to vandalise and destroy any and all signs of the Awami League, were injured as they came under attack in Gazipur city's Dakshinkhan area, as AL cadres ambushed their attempt to vandalise the residence of former liberation war affairs minister Mozammel Haque.
They were immediately taken to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital for treatment, before most of them were referred to DMCH.
