Belarus Foreign Minister Sergei Aleinik has said his country considers Bangladesh "an important political, trade, and economic partner" in South Asia.
Over the years, the countries have established effective mechanisms of interaction in different areas, including political consultations and the Joint Belarus-Bangladesh Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation, he added.
The minister hoped that both countries, with the active involvement of their foreign offices, would continue to develop constructive dialogue and bilateral partnership for the benefit of their citizens.
Aleinik recently congratulated Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen on the occasion of Bangladesh's Independence Day.
