Bangladesh Bank has re-fixed the value of the commemorative currency which was released marking the International Mother Language Day 2000.
As per the newly fixed value, each of the gold coin of 10 grams having 22 carat will have the price of Tk 53,000 instead of earlier price of Tk 50,000 while two coins of this kind will have the price of Tk 106,000 instead of earlier Tk 100,000.
This new price will be effective immediately, said the Currency Management Department of Bangladesh Bank in a press release.
The last price of the gold coin was fixed on August 26, 2019. The new price of the gold coins was set due to price escalation of gold, it said.
