Powered by Meghna Group of Industries, the 6th edition of ‘Digital Summit 2019’ was arranged by Bangladesh Brand Forum (BBF) in association with ADA (Analytics Data Advertising) at a city hotel.
The theme of this year’s conference was 'Digital Transformation for People'.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Shariful Islam, BBF founder and managing director, said, "Digital perception is now playing a major role for people living in the digital age.”
He mentioned that the modern marketers are making every effort to integrate digital approach with every activity of the brands. “We need to realise that the human connection needs to be at the centre of everything that marketers do to thrive in this new ecosystem,” he added.
Speakers focused on the current situation and future outline of digital marketing in the country in multiple panel discussions, breakout sessions, insight sessions and case study presentation sessions.
They also noted that although Bangladesh is witnessing a tremendous change in the digital space, more could be done by the entrepreneurs to evolve their marketing policy as well as bookkeeping.
The programme was divided in four panel discussions; two case study presentations, three insight sessions and two breakout sessions.
Around 500 people from different job sectors and entrepreneurs attended the summit.
The third Digital Marketing Award also distributed in the evening after the conference where 79 best digital campaigns of the year were awarded in 16 categories out of 500 candidates.
A Grand Jury comprising of the most respected marketing and brand experts, led by Tay Guan Hin, founder and chief creative officer of TGH collective, sorted the winners.

As marketers and creative professionals, digits should be transformed into emotion to connect, react and respond. Digital content is the next era of innovation for new and unchartered marketing possibilities.”
Rob Sherlock, Executive Advisor, ADK, Global Communications Consultant, Chief Creative Officer, Executive Search, Cognasia Talent; Manan Mehta, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Yash Raj Films Limited; and Protik Basu, Managing Partner, WeAddo and Vittorio Furlan, Head of Business Insights, ADA Malaysia, were among the keynote speakers.
