Information and Broadcasting Adviser Md Nahid Islam on Wednesday emphasised the due role of the Bangladesh Film Archive (BFA) in preserving the country’s history, heritage and culture through films and documentaries.
“Bangladesh Film Archive is playing an important role in preserving information and documentaries related to the country's history, heritage and culture,” he said while visiting several key areas of the archive, including the projection hall, multipurpose hall, digital lab, film museum, film checking room, film vault and library.

He called on archive officials to focus on expanding its capacity to further enhance its contribution to safeguarding the country’s cinematic and cultural legacy.
BFA Director General Md Kamruzzaman, Film Archive Project Director Yakub Ali and directors Farhana Rahman and Muhammad Arif Sadek, among others, accompanied the adviser.
