The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) has donated essential medical equipment to three hospitals to support the treatment of Covid-19 patients.
The medical supplies include 12 oxygen concentrators for Satkhira Medical College; five oxygen concentrators, 10 oxygen cylinders and 30,000 face masks for Mohongonj Upazila Health Complex; and five oxygen concentrators, 15 oxygen cylinders and 30,000 face masks for Thakurgaon's Shafiuddin Ahmed Foundation Hospital.
BGMEA President Faruque Hassan handed over the medical supplies to the representatives of Satkhira Medical College, Mohongonj Upazila Health Complex; and Shafiuddin Ahmed Foundation Hospital in the capital recently.
BGMEA vice-presidents Shahidullah Azim and Miran Ali; directors Md Mohiuddin Rubel and Tanvir Ahmed and former director Ashikur Rahman Tuhin were also present on the occasion.
"Mass people have to be brought under vaccination to help the country's economy rebound and remain resilient," the BGMEA president said.
Earlier, the BGMEA donated 15 high flow nasal cannula and 50,000 masks to Dhaka North City Corporation dedicated Covid-19 Hospital.
