The accused is Al Amin, 25, son of late Hossain of Paxmia union in the upazila.
Enamul Haque, officer-in-charge of Borhanuddin Police Station, said they arrested Alamin on Wednesday night after identifying him scrutinising video clips of the clash.
Inspector of court police Rathindranath Biswas said Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Sharif Md Sanaul Haque put him on remand when Alamin was produced before the court in the morning.
Police have so far arrested three people, including Alamin, in the case filed over the incident.
Four people were killed and more than 200 others injured on October 20 in the clash between police and demonstrating locals who were demanding punishment of a youth in Borhanuddin upazila for allegedly hurting religious sentiments on Facebook.
Police filed a case in this regard accusing 5,000 unknown people.
