A fire broke out at Bihari Potti on Babar road in the city’s Mohammadpur area on Tuesday.
Russel Shikder, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence Control room, said the fire broke out around 4:15 pm.
On information, seven firefighting units went to the spot and are trying to bring the fire under control.
However, the origin of the fire could not be known immediately.
Earlier on Monday, around 100 shanties and small makeshift shops were destroyed in a fire which originated at the ‘Sattola Bosti’ in Dhaka’s Mohakhali area.
