The aircraft landed at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 3:30pm while it was greeted with a water cannon salute.
With this Biman Bangladesh Airlines currently has 19 aircrafts, said a press release.
Purchased under the G2G between Bangladesh and Canada the second and third 8-400 aircrafts will be added to Biman’s fleet in January and February of next year respectively.
Sajjadul Hassan, chairman, Board of Directors of Biman Bangladesh Airlines; Md Mokabbir Hossain, managing director and CEO, Biman; Mirza Sarwar Jahan, director engineering and materials management, Biman; Ashfaqul Amin Mukut, general manager, administration and other officials of Biman and Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh, among others, were present at the airport at the time.
