The nine people who were injured in an explosion at a CNG filling station in Sylhet on Tuesday were sent to Dhaka on Wednesday after their health conditions deteriorated.
They were sent to Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery (SHNIBPS) in Dhaka from Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital at 5:30pm on Wednesday.

The health condition of four of the nine is said to be critical, as almost 40 percent of their bodies suffered burn injuries, said doctors at Sylhet Osmani Medical.
Director of Osmani Medical College Hospital Brig Gen Dr Mahbubur Rahman Bhuiyan said, "Among the injured, four are in critical condition as about 40 percent of their bodies were burned. The rest suffered 15 to 30 percent burns."
"That's why we decided to send all the injured to Dhaka," he said.
Relatives of the injured were seen visiting Osmani Hospital on Wednesday. All the victims are poor. As a result, they are worried about the cost of treatment. Meanwhile, the Sylhet district administration has provided Tk 10,000 as medical assistance to each of the injured.

A relative of one of the injured, Utpal Das said, "The patient's condition has worsened since yesterday, which is why they are being taken to Dhaka. But how do we pay for the huge cost of treatment?" HE asked.
Earlier on Tuesday evening, a fire broke out at the CNG filling station in Mirabazar area of the city. Seven employees of the filling station and two pedestrians sustained burn injuries.
Two units of the Sylhet Taltola Fire Service Station rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control.
