A BRTC double-decker bus was set on fire this morning in Gazipur’s Tongi area amidst the countrywide hartal called by BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami.
No one was injured in the incident.
Mustafizur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Tongi East Police Station, said a Dhaka-bound BRTC double-decker bus was set on fire by miscreants in front of Cheragali Market in Tongi during the ongoing hartal.

The fire was immediately brought under control by local people, said OC Mustfizur.
Efforts are on to nab the culprits, the police officer said.
Dozens of vehicles were torched across the country since this morning as hartal called by BNP and Jamaat is underway.
