Police recovered the bullet-hit bodies of two people including an ex-UPDF leader from Alutila in Matiranga upazila of Khagrachhari district on Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as Alopm Chakma, an expelled leader of United People's Democratic Front (UPDF) and Pritimoy Chakma, 46, of Madhupur in Sadar upazila.

Md Zakaria, officer-in-charge of Matiranga Police Station, said some local people spotted the bodies in the area around 7 am and informed the matter to Santimoy Tripura, a member of local union parishad, who informed police.

Later, police recovered the bodies and sent those to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Pritimoy Chakma was also a former member of a regional political group.
