Among the ailing students Raihan, 28, a medical student, who returned from China on February 8 and was released from quarantine in Ashkona Hajj Camp on Feb 15.
Another student Imran, a student of Shandong University in China after being cleared of virus infection by the China’s Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, returned home on Sunday.
Habiganj Civil Surgeon Mustafizur Rahman said Raihan has been suffering from cold-related diseases and shoulder pain for the last three days.
He has been kept in an isolated room for intensive care, Rahman said.
His blood sample has been sent to Dhaka, the Civil Surgeon said, hoping to receive the report in two days.
A medical board was formed in the hospital.
Meanwhile, Barguna Civil Surgeon Dr Humayun Shahin Khan said Imran was admitted to the hospital with fever on Sunday.
Samples of blood, nose and throat have been collected from Imran and sent to the Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) in Dhaka for testing, he said.
Attending a press conference in his office he also urged people not to be terrified over the coronavirus.
The viral outbreak that began in China has so far infected more than 71,000 people and killed 1775 others, according to figures released on Monday by China, reports AP.
