Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Thursday urged Palestine and Israel to have peace talks soon.
Wang made the call at a press conference he addressed on the sidelines of the second session of the 14th National People's Congress.
He called upon the international community to act promptly for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
Wang said people in Gaza have the right to live in this world. He said all detainess must be freed.
Calling for restoring justice to the Palestinian people he said full implementation of the two-state solution is the only way for peace in the Middle East.

He stated that China is always committed to supporting the palestine membership in the United Nations.
The minister reassured that China will firmly be a force for peace, stability and progress in the world faced with the complex and volatile international environment.
"Currently, the world landscape is undergoing profound changes, and human society is facing multiple challenges.China will stand firmly on the right side of history and on the side of human progress," Wang said.
He also said China will strive to safeguard world peace and development dedicating to peace, development, cooperation and mutual benefit as it pursues its own development
It will make greater contributions to world peace and development through its own development, he added.
