Dhaka, Jul 30 (UNB) – CNG refuelling stations will remain open round the clock from August 1 until further notice, the Power, Energy and Mineral Resource Ministry said Tuesday.
But no specific reason was mentioned for such a decision announced through a media statement.
Meanwhile, Energy and Mineral Resources Secretary Abu Hena Md Rahmatul Munim told reporters that the country’s gas crisis has been resolved with the import of 1000 mmcfd gas in the form of LNG (liquefied natural gas).
“Now, the government will allow CNG stations to operate continuously until further notice,” he said.
Munim said the government wants to encourage auto-gas for use in motor vehicles as fuel.
