A five-member committee has been established to simplify and standardize the submission of wealth statements by government employees.
The committee, led by the Secretary of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) as its convenor, is tasked with designing an easy-to-use form and defining the timeline and procedures for submitting these statements. Representatives from the National Board of Revenue (NBR), the Finance Division, and the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General will serve as members, while the chief of the Discipline and Inquiry Wing of the Public Administration Ministry will act as the member secretary.
Senior Secretary of Public Administration, Dr. Md Mokhles ur Rahman, announced the formation of the committee while speaking to reporters at his office on Monday. This committee will develop a universal form for wealth statements and finalize it within the next 15 days, he said.
The finalized guidelines on how government employees should submit their wealth statements will be communicated within this timeframe.
Earlier in a notice on Sunday, the government directed all public service holders to submit their property statements.
