On April 15, Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital’s doctor Moyeen Uddin died of coronavirus at a Dhaka hospital.
Bangladesh has confirmed 5,913 coronavirus cases and 152 deaths as of Monday. The country confirmed its first cases on March 8 and the first death on March 18.
Coronavirus, first reported in China in December last year, has claimed 211,609 lives until Tuesday morning, according to monitoring site Worldometer.
So far, 3,064,895 cases have confirmed and 922,581 of them have recovered.
Currently, 1,930,705 are undergoing treatment and the condition of 56,300 of them is serious or critical.
The World Health Organization (WHO) declared the coronavirus situation a pandemic.
