Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers in eight divisions, including Dhaka, in 24 hours starting from 9 am today.
"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind are likely to occur at most places in Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at many places in Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places across the country," it said.
Highest, 62 mm, rainfall in the country was recorded in Cox's Bazar's Teknaf in 24 hours till 6 am today.

Day and night temperatures may fall by 1-2 degree Celsius over the country, reads the regular bulletin.
Maximum temperature on Monday was recorded at 33.6 degree Celsius in Tangail and minimum temperature today was recorded at 17.5 degree Celsius in Rangpur's Tetulia.
Meanwhile, the depression over west central Bay and adjoining area moved north-northeastwards, and intensified into a cyclonic storm ‘Hamoon’ first and then into a severe cyclonic storm.

The severe cyclonic storm ‘Hamoon’ is likely to move north-northeastwards and may cross Barishal-Chattogram coast near Bhola by tomorrow (October 25) noon, added the BMD bulletin.
